What Designers W/ Guns Is.

Simply put, Designers With Guns is a website devoted to helping designers better understand their industry. Please share your thoughts, experiences, and your stories of the industry so we can all gain from it.

Not so simply put, the reason for starting Designers With Guns was due to the fact that there isn’t a resource for designers to ask questions about the business of design. The way our industry works, a lot of designer get into the industry, and are forced to be “self-employed”.  As most of us went to art school, and don’t know the first thing about a contract, how to balance a check book, or how to deal with clients, many of us were forced to learn the hard way.

I see this site as an open forum for designers of all skill levels to share the knowledge they have gained over years of trial and error so that we can all benefit from one another’s mistakes and successes. Use this site as a tool. If you have a question, ask it. We’ll do our best to provide an answer, and other designers will be able to provide their best feedback as well.
