I didn’t think that this could happen, but our site crashed last night due to traffic.  We got such a great response from people that our server died on us, and we had to get a mew hard drive to handle the load!

Posts and comments that were sent in yesterday somehow got lost in the mix, so if you added any comments or questions please be patient as we are filtering through them now.

Well, it’s been a wild day…we’ve had nearly 2,000 page views in just our 4th day online!  I want to thank each of you for taking the time to browse through the site and ask you for some tips on the site.  My goal is to provide the readers with a thorough and well rounded blend of information they can use to better do their work.  It’s my hope that this site can be a resource for up and coming designers as well as established designers.

To better assist me, I’m going to do a contest for content. Comment on this post with ideas for the site, and if we choose your ideas, we’ll include a link to your site on the home page for a couple of days.

Here are a couple of my ideas for the site:

1. Design Spotlight - Designers can send me their work, and I’ll post it on the site, so you can have other designers comment on your work.  Almost like an online critique.
2. Designer Interview - I’d like to interview successful designers and see if they can give us any advice on what they did to make it big.
3. Product Reviews - There are tons of programs, devices, tools, and apps, that designers use on a daily basis, I’d like to do reviews on these products.
4. Bad Designs – Send in any designs you find that are horrible, attrocious, or just down right bad, and we can all laugh at them.
